What you might not realise is that the same machine can also filter out dust, pollen and other tiny particles that irritate your nose and throat, provided the HEPA filter inside is still doing its job. These filters do not last forever. When yours is clogged or past its best, the air purifier function stops working properly and you are back to breathing whatever drifts in from outside.
How it helps
This is a pack of three replacement H13 HEPA filters made specifically for the Arete One and Arete Two in the 10 litre and 12 litre sizes. Each filter traps 99.75 percent of particles as small as 0.3 micrometres, which covers most pollen, fine dust and pet dander. The Arete can run as a dedicated air purifier without the dehumidifier switched on, so you can use it year round even when the house is not damp. Fitting a fresh one takes seconds.
Getting the best from it
- Check your current filter every few months, if it looks grey or clogged, swap it.
- Run the Arete in air purifier only mode during spring and summer when pollen counts rise.
- Keep the spare filters sealed in their bags until needed, opened packs cannot be returned.
- Write the date on the filter frame when you install it, so you know when to replace it next.
Who it suits
This suits anyone who already owns a compatible Arete dehumidifier and wants to keep the air purifier function working properly, especially households with allergies or asthma. It is not for you if you own a different Meaco model or another brand entirely, the sizing will not fit.
