If you already own a Meaco Arete dehumidifier, you might not be getting the full benefit from its air purifying function. The HEPA filter inside traps dust, pollen, and other tiny particles, but it fills up over time. A clogged filter cannot clean the air properly, and your allergies or breathing irritation may return even though the machine is still running.
How it helps
This is a pack of three replacement H13 medical-grade HEPA filters. Each filter captures 99.75 percent of particles as small as 0.3 micrometers, which includes most pollen, pet dander, mould spores, and fine dust. The Arete can run as a dedicated air purifier without the dehumidifier switched on, so you can clean the air in spring and summer when heating and drying are not needed. Swapping the filter is straightforward and takes only a moment.
Getting the best from it
- Check your current filter every few months. If it looks grey or clogged, it is time to replace it.
- Run the Arete in air purifier mode overnight in bedrooms to reduce morning allergy symptoms.
- Keep unopened packs sealed in a dry cupboard until you need them, as opened packs cannot be returned.
- Replace the filter before heavy pollen seasons if you suffer from hay fever.
Who it suits
This suits anyone who already owns a MeacoDry Arete One or Two in the 20 litre or 25 litre size and wants to keep the air purifying function working properly. It is also sensible for households with allergy sufferers who rely on the Arete year-round. It is not for owners of other Meaco models, or other brands of dehumidifier, as the filter will not fit. It is also not for anyone expecting to return opened packs, which is not permitted for health and safety reasons.
