If your dehumidifier is taking up floor space you need for something else, or if you have children or pets who might knock it over, mounting it on the wall is a sensible fix. This bracket lets you lift a MeacoDry Arete dehumidifier safely off the ground and keep it there.
How it helps
The bracket is made from stainless steel and built to hold your Arete securely without wobbling or shifting. Rubber vibration dampening stops the machine's hum from travelling through plasterboard or brick into the room beyond. You still reach the water tank and filter easily, so daily emptying and monthly cleaning stay straightforward.
Getting the best from it
- Check your wall can take the weight before you drill. Solid masonry is ideal. Stud walls need to hit timber, or use proper plasterboard fixings rated for the load.
- Position it high enough that children cannot tug on the cable, but low enough that you can still lift the tank out without stretching.
- Leave a hand's width of clearance behind the unit so air flows properly and the filter pops out without catching the wall.
- If you rent, ask your landlord before mounting. The bracket needs permanent fixing, so it is not a temporary solution.
Who it suits
This suits anyone with an Arete dehumidifier who needs floor space back, or who wants the machine out of reach of small children. It is not for other Meaco models, or for dehumidifiers from other brands. If you move house often, or cannot drill into your walls, a wheeled model kept on the floor makes more sense.
