MeacoDry Arete One 20L Dehumidifier / Air Purifier

If you are tired of wiping mould off walls, watching windows stream with condensation, or waiting days for laundry to dry, this is the machine that tackles all three at once. The MeacoDry Arete One 20L is built for larger homes, up to four bedrooms, where damp air has become a daily nuisance.

How it helps

A compressor dehumidifier draws moisture from the air and collects it in a tank, or sends it straight down a drain if you prefer. The Arete One also runs a medical-grade HEPA filter to trap dust, pollen and mould spores, so you get cleaner air as well as drier air. You can run it as a dehumidifier in autumn and winter, then switch to air purification mode in spring and summer when humidity drops but allergens rise. It is designed for the damp Irish climate and runs quietly enough to keep near bedrooms.

Getting the best from it

• Place it in the dampest room, or where your laundry dries, and let Smart Humidity Control manage the rest. You do not need to adjust settings constantly.
• Use Smart Laundry mode when you have washing to dry. It runs efficiently and costs less than a tumble dryer.
• Switch to Night Mode when you want silence: all lights go off, the fan drops to low speed, and there are no bleeps. It takes two deliberate presses to leave this mode, so children cannot accidentally change it.
• If you are draining continuously, a standard garden hose fits the adapter. No special hose needed.

Who it suits

This suits families in larger houses, up to four bedrooms, who want one machine to handle damp, mould and air quality without buying separate devices. It is also good for garages, boats or caravans. It is not for very small flats where a smaller tank would do, nor for unheated spaces below 5°C, where a desiccant dehumidifier works better. At 15kg it is not portable between rooms every day, so choose a spot and leave it there. The five-year parts and labour warranty covers the Arete range.
