If your Arete dehumidifier sits in a cellar, utility room or garage, you may have nowhere to run a gravity drain. That means stopping to empty the tank by hand, or the machine switching off when full. This pump solves that by pushing the water upward to a sink, drain or window, so the dehumidifier can run continuously without your attention.
How it helps
The pump sits inside your Arete 20L or 25L dehumidifier and draws power from the machine itself. When the tank fills, the pump activates automatically and pushes water through the supplied hose. It can lift water to a height of 2.5 metres, enough to reach a standard sink or wall mounted drain. No separate plug or wiring is needed.
Getting the best from it
- Check your drain point height before buying. The pump manages up to 2.5 metres, but struggles beyond that.
- Keep the hose run as short and straight as possible. Kinks or sharp bends slow the flow and strain the pump.
- Position the hose end so it cannot slip out of the drain. A loose hose floods the floor.
- Raise the dehumidifier on a small platform if your drain sits at the upper limit. This gives the pump headroom.
Who it suits
This suits anyone running an Arete 20L or 25L dehumidifier in a basement, garage or outbuilding where gravity drainage is impossible and frequent emptying is a nuisance. It is not for other Meaco models, nor for any dehumidifier outside the Arete 20L and 25L range. If your machine sits near a floor drain or you are happy to empty the tank manually, you do not need this. It also cannot push water higher than 2.5 metres, so check your setup before ordering.
