Filters
Irish winters keep windows shut for months, trapping dust, pollen and mould spores inside poorly insulated rooms. A clogged filter makes your machine work harder and pushes dirty air back into the room, worsening the damp smell from laundry drying indoors. Replacing filters on time keeps the air clean and your dehumidifier or purifier running efficiently through the wet season and the summer heat.
How to choose
You need to match the filter exactly to your Meaco model and decide whether you want to trap particles or remove smells.
- Check the model sticker on the back of your unit before ordering, as Arete dehumidifiers and Clean air purifiers use different shapes and sizes.
- Pick HEPA filters to capture mould spores and fine pollen that aggravate allergies in damp Irish homes.
- Choose charcoal filters to absorb cooking odours and musty smells from wet clothes drying inside.
- Arete models vary by capacity, so confirm whether your unit is a smaller or larger size to get the right fit.
